The Rapture (Pt. 2)
Last month I gave the first of a two part message about the highly controversial subject called the rapture. This is the second part of that message.
There are those that say that these things of the Book of Revelation occurred in the past, around the year of 70 AD. But how could that be? When Jesus warned us about the horrors that would occur in Matthew 24, He said things like, "For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh
would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened." (Verses 21, 22) Sure there were a million Jews killed at Jerusalem, but Hitler's forces killed six million in World War II. . Also Revelation 8:7 tells us things like, "And a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up." When did that world wide crisis happen? And how were the days shortened so we’d be saved? I haven’t seen any answers to those questions yet.
Another mistake that is believed in is what many denominations call “replacement theology.” This is where they claim that the promises given to the Jews are now given to the Church of today because the Jews were dispersed for their failure as I mentioned last month. But in Romans 11, Paul tells us that God is not done with the Jews. And as Daniel 9:27 shows, they still have at least seven more years to fulfill. Also as I mentioned earlier we saw the rebirth of the nation of Israel in 1948, just as explained in Ezekiel 36 through 38 with the re-gathering of the Jewish people. This was also prophesied in Daniel 9 through 12. I’m sure much of that was because of there not being a literal Israel for nearly 2000 years, but now
we can see how wrong we were. We can see what Romans 11 tells us about Israel is about to happen. Furthermore we can see that all the pieces are falling in place for a new temple and their worshiping in this temple is being prepared at this time too. In light of all of this, how can we deny the evidence that the Bible is truth and means what it tells us? And with all of these facts concerning the accuracy of Scripture, there are still more
reasons to believe that the rapture is soon to happen. Look at the increasing numbers of severe storms, tornadoes and earthquakes that happen every year. Considering all of the crazy weather we are having, \along with the increase in wars and rumors of wars, the high surge in false religions and false prophets, it certainly makes me think of the many prophecies concerning these things in Matthew 24 and Luke 21. Have you noticed the push these days toward a one world government and an ecumenical push towards uniting the many religions these days? These things are more than just a coincidence because these things are foretold
in Revelation and Daniel as well.
You might be wondering why Jesus would come back for His people in a rapture? Again we have another reason to know your Bible. God never sends His wrath on the innocent. Just look at how He removed Lot from Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19) when He told Abraham that He wouldn't destroy Sodom if there were even ten righteous people in Sodom.
(Genesis 18) So He removed Lot and His family first. Revelation 3:10 adds this, "I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth." God is not referring to the trials and persecution of the saints here, but rather a worldwide time of severe distress for all who live on the earth.
The fact is that it would be so much better if you would be aware of the prophetic verses in Scriptures, which is why I write about this. Look at the many nations that hate Israel and are ready to go to war against her. These things must make a person realize that something is up. That something that is what we see foretold in Scriptures. When will the rapture happen? Soon. The why is because, as I mentioned earlier, we see the birth pangs already happening. Both Matthew and Luke comment on this. Matthew 24:32, 33 says, "Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors!" Luke 21:28 also says, concerning these prophecies, "Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”
Folks, there are those that will think as the "Catholic Answers" says, "Pre-tribulationism is biblically bankrupt and does not know it." However, they have the belief of those that think in the replacement theology group that I mentioned earlier and is not Scripturally in line with God's word. I have no doubt that there will be those that never heard of, nor believed in the rapture that will be there when the rapture takes place because they do believe in the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. Again note that if they're trusting in the saving work of Jesus Christ crucified, that's the key. 1Thessalonians 4:18 the Bible says that we should, “Therefore comfort one another with these words.” The facts are that with the uncertainty of the world’s future and problems looking so bleak, the only way that these words could bring one to have peace, is to know that if you’re saved, you’ll be joining us. My family and I are packing our bags, getting ready for Imminent rapture trip. The whistle is about to blow and its just a matter of time before the train leaves and the disappearance of those of whom believe in Jesus Christ takes place. Remember that it happens "in a moment, a twinkling of the eye," just as Scriptures tell us in
1 Corinthians 15:52, so won't you join us?
If you have comments about this subject or any of my other articles, I invite you to send them to me and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Meanwhile, keep looking up to Jesus.
